IAAF/SINOPEC World Half Marathon Championships Nanning 2010 will be held in Nanning on October 16, 2010. China Communist Youth League Nanning Committee, on one hand, contacted with its sub-committees in colleges and universities in Nanning and volunteers associations, on the other hand, announced the recruitment to other social sectors so as to include volunteers from the society. In addition, the notice of the recruitment on the website of Nanning Young Volunteer Association and the hotline of 12580 for application provided by China Mobile Guangxi also guarantee the recruitment.
During the recruitment, we have filed the information of registered volunteers in time so as to build a “volunteer resource team” for the event and for other possible large-scaled activities in the future. It is an effective encouragement that certificates recognizing services provided will be awarded to qualified volunteers after assessment and outstanding volunteers will be awarded honorary titles.
Through on-site, online and hotline application, 720 volunteers from all social sectors will be recruited to help the venue arrangement of the event, language services (200 volunteers needed), medical examinations, assistance along the course, retrieval work to protect environment and other special assistance. By September 6, 95 volunteers have been recruited. They will receive interviews and trainings after the recruitment ends. |
